DIRECTOR

I am an environmental activist, artist, mother of teenagers, frontline community member, and  Los Angeles resident. Over the past decade, art has been one of the most powerful tools in my work with Parents Against Santa Susana Field Lab, a grassroots environmental justice organization. It has given me a voice in moments when I felt powerless, helped me communicate complex and difficult issues, and inspired others to see challenges from new perspectives. Art has the unique ability to empower people, spark conversations, build community, and create change.

I graduated with honors from Otis College of Art and Design with a degree in Graphic Design. Through FMW, I am excited to share a safe, welcoming, and creative space where people of all backgrounds can learn new skills, grow in confidence, connect with their community, and create beauty with purpose.

ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE CONSULTANT

Jeni Knack holds a degree in Anthropology from UCLA and has more than a decade of experience working on environmental justice, public health, and environmental policy issues.

Jeni is a resident of Simi Valley.

Throughout her career, Jeni has collaborated with scientists, researchers, community organizations, and policymakers to address a wide range of environmental challenges, including Los Angeles River restoration, air quality monitoring, groundwater contamination, hazardous waste management, wildfire recovery efforts, and the cleanup of the Santa Susana Field Laboratory.

Her deep knowledge of environmental policy, community engagement, and scientific research brings invaluable expertise to Future Makers Workshop, helping connect young people with real-world environmental issues and opportunities for meaningful civic action.

ART TEACHER

Krisztianna is an award winning multidisciplinary artist based in Southern California. With a degree in Illustration & Graphic Design from Otis College Of Art and Design, she spent 20 years in Entertainment Advertising, refining her skills in design, photography, and visual storytelling.

Krisztianna draws from her diverse experiences to seamlessly integrate various artistic skills. From sculpting with clay, porcelain, or resin to painting with watercolor, acrylic, and foils, alongside digital media encompassing photography and illustration, she skillfully crafts pieces reflecting the depth and richness of her personal journey.

Transitioning from her successful advertising career, Krisztianna now focuses on caring for her family and expressing herself through art. Her portfolio stands as a testament to the fusion of technical expertise and heartfelt creativity, resonating with authenticity and passion.
